Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Klyaso collects when you use the Chrome extension and website, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Overview
Klyaso is a Chrome extension that enhances Instagram inside the browser for creators. It communicates with Klyaso's backend to provide subscription entitlements, Creator Program features, and related product services. Klyaso is not affiliated with Meta or Instagram.
We only request the browser permissions needed for extension functionality. The extension interacts with Instagram pages while you are actively using Instagram in Chrome. We do not sell personal information.
Information collected
Depending on how you use Klyaso, we may collect:
- Billing and subscription information. When you purchase a subscription, Paddle (our payment processor) collects billing details such as your name, billing email, payment method, and transaction records. Klyaso stores subscription status and related billing identifiers needed to unlock paid features.
- Account identifiers used by Klyaso. Subscription access is associated with the billing email collected during Paddle checkout and, for Creator Program members, with creator account credentials such as session cookies or access tokens issued by Klyaso. Installing the Chrome extension typically happens through the Chrome Web Store, which is operated by Google and may involve your Google account with Google—not as a separate Klyaso Google Sign-In product.
- Creator Program application information. If you apply to the Creator Program, we collect the details you submit (for example contact email, Instagram handle, and application answers) to review and operate the program.
- Product and technical data. We may process extension or website diagnostics needed to run the service, such as request logs, error reports, device/browser metadata, and subscription entitlement checks. Local extension storage may keep preferences, cached subscription state, and workflow data you generate while using the product.
- Optional Instagram Graph API credentials. If you connect publishing features that use Meta's Graph API, authentication tokens needed for that connection may be processed so the feature can function.
- Website cookie preferences and analytics signals. On the marketing site, essential cookies support security and core functionality. If you opt in, analytics or performance tools may collect usage data as described in Cookies below.
Klyaso does not need your Instagram password. Content and account activity you view on Instagram remains subject to Instagram's own terms and privacy practices.
How information is used
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the extension and website
- Authenticate subscription and Creator Program access
- Process payments and manage billing through Paddle
- Operate Creator Program applications, payouts, and related tools
- Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and secure the service
- Understand aggregate product usage when you allow analytics cookies
- Communicate about the service when you contact us or apply
Analytics and subscription information are stored only as required to operate and improve the service.
Third-party services
Klyaso relies on third-party providers to deliver parts of the product. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies, including:
- Paddle — subscription checkout, billing, invoices, and customer portal
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, databases, and delivery for the Klyaso website and APIs
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — website analytics only when you grant analytics consent
- Sentry — error monitoring and, when enabled by consent, performance or session diagnostics
- Meta / Instagram / Facebook — Instagram itself, and optional Graph API connections you authorize for supported publishing workflows
- Google / Chrome Web Store — distribution and installation of the Chrome extension
We do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
Security
We use industry-standard protections appropriate for a hosted web service and browser extension, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) for network requests to Klyaso backends and access controls around subscription and creator credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Active subscription and entitlement records while your paid access remains relevant and for a reasonable period afterward for support, fraud prevention, and accounting
- Creator Program application and account records while the relationship is active and as needed for program administration
- Technical logs for a limited operational period needed to secure and debug the service
- Local extension data until you clear extension storage, uninstall the extension, or otherwise remove it from your browser
Paddle may retain payment records according to its own legal and financial obligations.
User rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction, or request deletion of information we control. You can also manage website cookie preferences at any time and uninstall the Chrome extension to stop local extension processing.
To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information held by Klyaso, contact us using the details below. We will review requests and respond as reasonably practicable. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, billing integrity, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Requests involving payment records may also need to be handled through Paddle.
This policy describes our current practices. It does not claim that Klyaso currently provides a self-serve privacy portal or automated regulatory response workflows beyond what is described here.
Instagram and Meta
Klyaso is an independent product. It is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, or Facebook. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of Klyaso after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
